I was really nervous painting this one. This made it hard to do a solid start and block-in. Eventually I was able to put some paint in the right places. I guess hiring a model to pose for a painting for the first time made me nervous. If the painting had just completely fallen apart the session would have been a waste of time and money... thinking about that was enough to make me nervous. Anyway- any comments or thoughts on the painting are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Looks good. I like the contrast and shadow areas around the jawline and neck. Good contrast; it makes her look very three dimensional. Also her hair is very voluminous.

calvin i like this one. she looks like she's got some attitude lurking around in there. don't know how you did it cause i'm not down with the brushes but i'm glad you are.
